Korea

South Korea is an industrialized country that is quickly developing into one of the world's wealthiest countries.  Yet, it is also a country whose policies leave gaps in several important aspects of society.
South Korea's welfare system is developing and still incomplete; therefore,  the homeless often are not self-sufficient.
In addition, many retirement homes in South Korea, particularly in the rural areas, often face the problem of emotionally comforting the elderly.  These elderly residents of public housing, without a traditional family structure, often suffer from depression and loneliness resulting from the feeling of social isolation.
Children's hospitals are also in need of assistance.  In fact, some patients in these hospitals have been abandoned since childhood because of their physical deformities and are in need of love.  At the same time, however, more and more people seek refuge in these establishments, and the hospitals will imminently be overcrowded and in need of additional resources.
WorldCircle aims to bring its efforts to Korea in the near future.
